How We Write And Check Content.
This page explains how Brandefense writes and checks the content on this site, so you know what stands behind a page and what to do if you find a mistake.
Where The Facts Come From
We start from primary sources: vendor and government advisories, the original technical reports, official databases and the research of the people who found the issue. A source is opened and read again before a page relies on it. Where a page cites a source, we link to it so you can read it yourself.
How Drafts Are Written
Drafts are written with the help of AI tools. The tools are used to organize what the sources say and to put it in plain language. They are not a source of facts. A claim that cannot be traced to a source we have opened does not go on the page.
How Drafts Are Checked
Each draft goes through two checks before release. First, an automated check compares names, dates, numbers and identifiers on the page with the sources. Second, a separate review pass reads the page again against the same sources and looks for anything that is wrong, unsupported or too strong. A page is released only after both checks are done.
Who Stands Behind A Page
Pages are published by Brandefense as a company. Pages do not carry personal bylines.
Report A Correction
If you see something that is wrong or out of date, tell us on the contact page. Name the page and the line, and add a link to a source if you have one. We check the report against the sources and fix the page when it is confirmed.
For company figures such as the product list, offices and ratings, the Facts page is the one to cite.
