The Orova ransomware group lists 17 organisations as victims in tracker posts seen from 12 October to 3 November 2026. Ten are in Singapore or Malaysia, and seven were listed or relayed again on 2 and 3 November. Every entry is the group’s own claim, and the posts carry no confirmation from the companies.

The counts below come from tracker posts relayed in Brandefense Blackhole, mostly Telegram channels that repost ransomware-leak listings. We did not open the group’s own site, and no company, regulator or authority had confirmed any listing in the sources we checked as of 3 November 2026. We name no company, because these listings are unverified claims and none of the cases is a widely reported breach.

How Many Victims Does Orova Claim?

Brandefense Blackhole holds 63 posts that mention Orova since 6 October 2026, 62 on Telegram and 1 on a forum. The busiest days were 13 October with 28 posts, 23 October with 11, and 2 to 3 November with 17. The trackers announce each entry with wording such as “has just published a new victim”.

Across those posts we count 17 distinct victim names. Nine appeared on 12 and 13 October, two more on 14 October, two on 23 October and four new ones on 2 and 3 November. On 3 November three earlier names were relayed again, which gives the seven entries in the latest wave.

Which Sectors Are on the List?

The latest wave covers property services, electronics, food and beverage, healthcare products, public-interest services and a holding group. Earlier entries include hospitality, maritime, manufacturing, safety equipment, retail and software firms. The mix is broad, so sector alone does not tell a defender whether they are in scope.

Singapore and Malaysia account for 10 of the 17 names, which is our reading of the counts. The tracker posts do not say how the group gained access, and they give no sign of a shared technique.

What Should Companies in Singapore and Malaysia Do Now?

These steps are our advice and answer no confirmed incident. Use them as a checklist this week.

  1. Check whether your company or a supplier name appears in a ransomware tracker, and keep a record of the date and wording you saw.
  2. Ask your IT team or provider to review remote access first: VPN and remote desktop accounts, multi-factor sign-in, and accounts of former staff.
  3. Confirm that backups are offline or immutable and that a restore has been tested this quarter.
  4. If you appear on a leak site, treat it as a possible incident. Open your response plan and call your legal counsel before anyone contacts the group.
  5. Check which regulator or sector body must be told, and how fast, before an incident happens.

What Is Still Open?

A listing shows what a group says it holds, not what it holds. The sources we used are tracker posts, and they do not state the scale of any data loss. We will add a company’s own notice here if one is published.
